So Day 3 of our trip when we were supposed to be hiking out of the canyon we spent the day exploring Kingman and Route 66. We went to a train museum at the original train depot, and we flattened coins on the rails. Then we went into a really cool Route 66 museum. And then one more random museum before we had a delicious lunch in a diner! We all got bacon cheeseburgers and root beer floats! It was a fun and historic morning!
Then my parents headed home and Aunt Lisa and I headed to Vegas for the rest of the day. We stopped at the Hoover Dam to walk across the bridge since I had yet to experience it! It was really amazing and a mile there and back! It was a very hot day but I'm glad we got to do it!

When we got to Vegas we checked into our hotel at the Paris! It's right across from the Bellagio and smack in the middle of the strip! Such a great location. So we checked out or room, freshened up, and headed out to do some touristying!

We started off exploring the Bellagio and watching the fountains. Then we watched a street performance of some really cool break dancers! Then it was onto Ceasars Palace! We did some shopping and explored that whole Casino! It took a while but we capped it off with one delicious frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity! Yum! Then we walked all the way down to the Vatican and we explored that maze as well! We just narrowly escaped buying some face cream because as the sales guy was pitching to Lisa, I burst in saying I was going to pee my pants! (which was true... seriously I was doing the potty dance before he ever stopped us...) The sample we got from it are awesome though! I'm still using mine almost 2 months later! haha
So the Venetian spit us out on the Wynn side so we walked along the outside of the building back to our hotel! There we got some yummy pizza and topped it off with some yummy crepes for dessert! We still had some time so we decided to go and try to see the Lions at MGM... not realizing what time it was. We got there at the far end of the strip at 11:30 and we couldn't even find them! Then we still wanted to ride the eiffel Tower ride at our hotel so we booked it back to the Paris. I mean we did half the strip in 20 min and got there about 10 min before midnight but the stop letting people up 15 min before... We were so disapointed :/

So we headed up to our room to enjoy our spectacular view of the strip before going to bed... in our own beds!! haha how rare does that happen on family trips that I'm not sharing with someone. Ahh it was luxury!
The next morning I dropped Aunt Lisa off at the airport and headed back to Provo. It was a fun family trip and even though I'm sad we didn't get more time at the falls, I will be going back! :]
