Figured this year I had to post something.... Today is March 26th. On this date 3 years ok I got married in the temple to Tyler Rehak and almost a year ago was divorced from him. It seems like an incredible amount of time has passed in these 3 years and I can honestly say that the person I am has changed so much. I would never have dreamed 3 years ago that I would be where I am today. Of course nobody thinks on their wedding day... 3 years from now I'll be divorced, but it happens. And sometimes you just have to figure out how to get on with your life afterwards. So I'm not sure if I want this post to be more about marriage or more about figuring out who you are on your own. So maybe I'll split this post up into two parts. First: the joys of marriage. and Second: how I've grown since. So one thing I can honestly say is I MISS MARRIAGE. While I can't necessarily say I'm not better off now, I can definitely say my feelings are more nostalgic than anything.

Ok So first to explain... I have this annual tradition that for St. Patrick's Day I go on a hiking/ camping adventure. Two years ago it was Moab and last year it was Bryce Canyon. This year my funding and planning fell a little short but that sure didn't stop me! Since St. Pattys day was on Monday this year I celebrated Sat and Sunday... like a normal person should do really (Can we just make it like the 2nd saturday of March always) haha So to celebrate! Braden helped me construct a fabulous and monstrous Blanket Fort Tent! We used 2 jersey queen sized sheets, a couch cover, and a blanket! Basically it stretched over my whole couch and my queen sized mattress and then sloped up over my tv stand.  Thank goodness for those barstools! They really helped keep the height of it. Like you could almost sit up on the mattress and it was awesome to lean against the couch cushions which were just like 3 inches higher than my mattress! Basically.. it was my whole living room

Quick blog post on how disgusted I am with Monty! As much as I love my little boy I was so aghast when I saw Ollie's neck like this ! I left Ollie's collar off for just a day after his bath and I think that left Ollie's neck to open to Monty. I know he's just playing but I mean ouch! So Ollis is wearing his collar again and I punish Monty every time I see him go for Ollie's neck. Poor little guy just wants to play but this is ridiculous! Look at all the patches of fur that have been ripped out and all the red irritated skin. My poor boy :(

So this week has been too beautiful to NOT do stuff outside! So my boys have gotten a few field trips :) Tuesday after I got off work we went for like an hour walk! Whew I talked to all of my family and listened to an audio book the whole time. The sun was shining and it was seriously a gorgeous afternoon. Thursday I decided to take it up a notch and go for... a HIKE! Yep the first one of the season! I had planned on only taking Ollie since it's a little hard to manage two dogs usually but when I put Ollie in the car and turned around to this.. I really couldn't leave Monty. He seriously wanted to come... haha What a cutie! Luckily I had my friend Brett to help me with them!  We just did the tell-tale Dry Canyon near my house. I was a little worried about mud from the recent rains but it really wasn't too bad and again the weather was fabulous! Even though we did have to hike just to the parking lot as the road up there is still closed off. Luckily it's not

Recent Events :) February Book Club Meeting: We read a Regency Romance Novel titled "To kiss a Stranger" It was a fabulous book and way easy to read! And of course I hosted a regency themed meeting to go along with it! I had a tea party! I made cucumber sandwiches which to be honest I actually liked a lot. Recipe below ! And we had hot chocolate in my little tea set! Braden even came to my tea party (what a great supporter! even if he didn't read this months book.. big surprise) Anyways the book is about a Noble man who kisses a girl he thinks is a servant but whose actually a noble lady! And her uncle (who is a monster) forces them to get married! And of  course they try to figure out a way to get out of the marriage without completely ruining her but end up falling in love! Anyways.. it's great! Go read it :) March will be a book based on a movie.. so we're reading Divergent! And it's great so far.. so read it as well! :) Cucumber Sandwiches: 1 b
