 So this was a pretty eventful weekend and probably one of my favorites of the year. I got hooked up by a friend in Heber who took me horse back riding. (It pays to have friends with horses :P) I drove up after getting off early at work and met them at the Walsburg (?) turn off in Provo Canyon. I had a very docile horse and this was only my second time on one after almost exactly a year ago when Ty took me.

It was the most gorgeous day I barely even needed my coat! AND I finally got to use these boots I got last summer. haha
We went on like an hour and a half ride so my hips and knees were screaming at me by the time we were done... but gosh it was just so beautiful being out in the open and covering so much more distance. Of course I loved every second of it. Then I headed home when it got dark to have myself a relaxing Friday night. But seriously... one of the best days ever.

Desert Thunder Stock Car Races

Another Carbon County Success story: Getting to watch closing races of a 3 day event: The Castle Country Clash at the Desert Thunder raceway. Some of you who knew me years ago would know I was a big NASCAR fan back in the day. (I mean I made NASCAR board game for a 5th grade math project once...I was serious about it)  So when Tina asked us if we would be interested in attending the weekend's stock car races my answer was an easy YES! Saturday with our ATV ride, we were wiped out but luckily we finished our hike Sunday just in time for me to check out the afternoon races.

NYC posts- Brooklyn & Central Park

NYC Day 2: Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan, and Central Park Despite the late night Broadway show before, we were up early and determined to hit the rest of the list. So first up was Brooklyn. It took about 40 min to get to the Bagel Store on Bedford Ave between 2 subway lines and less than mile of walking. Rainbow bagel with funfetti smear: perfection.
