This is our disney trip blog post! It was awesome so let me just lay it out here. Monday and Tuesday we did disney parks! Monday was Animal kingdom and Magic Kingdom. It was hot but fun! We rode Everest like 3 times, and Dinosaur, and the awesome water raft ride! And then.... we were done with Animal kingdom. Then it was onto Magic Kingdom to make our rounds there! So fun!
My night at downtown disney! I got to go to the lego store and take pictures with all the wacky lego creations!
Then onto Disney quest!
Disney quest is a virtual reality theme park! I built two roller coaster than I then got to ride in a simulator. They were pretty intense but no where near as fun as the real thing!
We also played the pirate game were 1 person steers the ship and the rest of us shoot cannons at other ships to get their treasure. We played 3 times and on our last try we beat it and became Masters of the High Seas! Woot woot!... if you tried it, you would understand. haha
Then we had a day or so of Holly wood studios! This contains some of my favorite rides, mostly cause they're big kid rides, but I love the Great movie ride as well! It takes you through memorable scenes from some of the most iconic movies: Mary Poppins, Wizard of Oz, Indiana Jones, Alien, Public Enemy, and other western and gangster movies. The tour guide acts a little bit along the way and really it's just a lot of fun!
Then there's my all time favorite ride: Splash Mountain. I could ride it over and over and over again! I just never get enough of the Zip- a- doo- dah environment!
Obviously in this picture I was finding my laughing place....
More of Hollywood studios.. They have star tours there! and yes I'm a giant nerd so I had to take a picture on a speeder.... don't judge
The Indiana Jones stunt show.. where they show you how the make scenes in the movies with stunt doubles! There he is running away from the stone!
Epcot.. the most quirky park of them all but we love it! Half the park is just walking around different representations of the countries around the world. We made the circuit several times, one day we tried food from each country... That was exciting. haha
Here we are posing as super models.. yep.
There's also Test track at Epcot which is pretty lame, but we got to play in some cool cars after.
We did both water parks! First we did Typhoon Lagoon which has a wayyyy cool wave pool and some pretty fun slides. But as always one of my fav parts is snorkeling with sharks! It's a way fun park!
Chandler discovered sand at the water park! She loved it!
More Star wars excitement :]
We celebrated Tiffany and Aunt Lisa's b-days while we were done there with good ol' fashioned ice cream cake. Hallelujah it had been way too long! It was soo good too!
We loved the gardens at Epcot! The scultped such fun things!
And my fav disney ride ever ever ever (besides splash mountain) is the Rockin Roller coaster!
You walk in to a video of Aerosmith in a recording studio, they have to leave to get to a concert on time but they don't want to leave us (their fans) so we hop in a super stretch limo to go to the concert to!
Basically it speeds you off with a catapult mechanism and sends you through the dark with only neon billboards (like on a high way)
with Aerosmith sons blasting in your ears! SOOOO fun!
Also has 2 loops and a barrel roll... not bad for an indoor coaster :]
Then of course we had to get our picture with Minny... although we never did find Mickey for one.
Outside of the Haunted Mansion... apparantly we took a picture here in this same pose a few years ago.. well here we are trying to recreate it.. Can't say if it's a success or not. haha
Our terrified looks on Dinosaur... no matter how many times you ride that ride it's ALWAYS scary! haha It's the same type of ride as Indiana Jones at Disney Land,, but man.. it's intense. haha
Sorry it's dark... but this is in front of Disney world's new fantasyland. We are standing in front of Ariel's castle! It was so beautiful and cool! Seriously so excited !
We rode the magic carpet ride over and over again for Chandler.
Before I go any further I best explain the pins... My family is crazy about pin trading, in fact my dad bought 500 pins to split between us to trade on this trip! I collected almost the whole alphabet and bunch of other really cool ones!
Plus it got pretty intense with some people grabbing to good ones first.. We were always running around trying to get to a pin trader first. haha
Main st. in Holly Wood studios... The girls are wearing their funky glasses!
Here we are in front of Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom! This is a way fun coaster! It switches tracks many times which makes you go forward on one track, and then backwards on another. It's fun but it also makes you sick after a while.. Ah well we got a few good rides in. haha
Me and my girls :]
We went to St. Augustine on Sunday and visited the Historic Fort. It was beautiful! I learned a lot that day of, but can't say that I can remember any now. We walked around the old town and got to meet up with my grandparents for a short time and our old friends the Palmers we knew in Texas! Sooo fun!
It was so great getting to see them again!
