Now for May.... Ty has been workin hard at his full time job... we dislike his boss, because he expects him to work lot's of extra hours, without giving him extra time off or paying him any more. And I still work at Kneaders! Now I'm a nightmanager! Which is way awesome, even though I can only handle working 2 nights a week. I'm taking organic chemistry this spring, and it's way hard ! I have a test like every week that I have to study for. Anyways besides work and school, we still find fun things to do together. Besides the obvious going to the movies (WOOHO for the Avengers) or doing P90x, which I'm 3 weeks into, we go on awesome trips!

The last trip we went to Escalante National Monument, or the Grand Staircase, with some friends from church (they teach the sunbeams, and we teach CTR 4! ha) It was awesome we got there sat night around 6:30 and quickly did a 6 mile hike to the bottom of the Lower Calf creek falls. It was a pretty easy hike, besides having to walking through red sand.
Ty and I in a little arch at the beginning of the path!
We make it look like a romantic getaway don't we. haha

The whole group, and a great look at the falls! They were so beautiful!

When we finished that hike (in 2 hours... we were all surprised) we quickly at dinner of hotdogs in the dimminishing light... Amazing enough each of us girls wolfed down 3 hotdogs each. Think we were hungry? haha Then in the pitch black we started searching for a camp site, which wonderfully enough we found a great primitive spot closer to the trailhead for the next day. All it had was a dumpster. haha but we set up camp, and crawled into bed. We again barely slept due to the fact that Ty and I only brought one sleeping bag and then a great big comforter... so WE FROZE. basically

Sunday morning we got up super early, eat some oatmeal, and headed on our way down the 25 mile dirt road to our next hike. Along the way we saw soooo many COWS! And there were almost just as many baby cows (they were so cute!) They were along the road, and IN the road, but they always moved... even if it was a bit slow. I really wanted a picture with them, but we didn't want to waste day light.
At the trailhead we suited up with our water and gatorade and headed out on our lovely 10 mile hike. The hike to the first canyon wasn't bad, and the 2 slot canyons we did were great! Though we got a little lost on our way back...

The entrance to the first slot canyon, Peek-a-boo was about 20 ft. off the ground, and it was wayy fun climbing up into it! Great way to start the day!
Then immediately after, the next obstacle! push youself off a log, that was barely stuck in there... that was cool, and there was a double arch right in the beginning as well!
Me getting to the top of the entrance. Had to do some stemming to accomplish this!

 squeezing through the canyons!
This hike made me very proud of my body weight. haha
We also climbed on everything! So we're actually above the part of the cayon everyone was walking through. neat huh?

 Mini Arch!

The in-between slot canyons hike was dry and dusty. Luckily we had homeade jerky, dried fruit, nuts, and gatorade to keep up going!
Tyler and one of the girls who came with us climbed up on this! It's higher than it looks!
Meanwhile, I got a picture with the giant wall that surrounded the whole area. I thought it was cool.
Well that was the first half... I'll put the pictures from Spooky Canyon up in another post! Because it was wayy cool to!
