NOTE: This should have been posted BEFORE my trip out East. Also this weekend, beside my adventure picking up a stray, we had our May Book Club Meeting! This past month we read Dragonflight: One of the dragons of Pern books. It was our fantasy/ sci-fi genre month and we couldn't have picked a better book to represent both! It had both dynamics and I loved it! Anyways the party was great! I had like a million great ideas and we only got to a few of them even! Paying respects to Lord of the Rings: some of the greatest fantasy books of all time is my party sign I posted to the front door.  I also antiqued a crap load of paper. I had 4 big maps of Pern and then all of the Harpers (teaching) songs that were used in the book... There were a lot. haha  I also made a little photo booth where you could pretend to be  a dragon and breathe fire. In the book the dragons' main purpose was to destroy silver thread that fell from the red star and basically killed eve...

Start: Day 2. A long day my friends... a very long day. We got up, had our breakfast and were out by 9. We drove the going to the sun road again... A little exasperated by it and continued past the visitor center to more of the East Glacier side which was stunning! Lake Mary is so green and beautiful! Anyways we didn't stop to get pictures because we just wanted to start hiking and I was fairly irritated by all the dirt road! It took over 2 hours to get to the trail head at the Many Glacier Park entrance! We hiked Swiftcurrent Pass which is about 15 miles long and fairly exhausting. The first 2 miles were boring through the trees and bushes and fairly flat but opening up to some fairly nice lakes. (picture above) and one lake had this awesome falls right around the corner!  I loved them and the rush of water was pretty loud! At about 4 miles you start the hard part... The trail starts steeply switch backing right up the Mountain side (reminded me a lot of the South Rim f...

Right so here we go: B-day Weekend Day 1 We headed up to Glacier National Park on the Northern edge of Montana Thursday around 2 (I had to work that morning) After a few mishaps and driving over an hour out of our way, seeing countless deer on the side of the road while driving in the dark including one that straight up crossed the road right in front of me, admiring the moon shining on the lakes, and countless junk food, we pulled in to camp just before 2:00 AM. The mosquitos and bugs attacked us the second we got out of the car so we sprayed ourselves with bug spray and managed to get our tent set up using only one lantern in 15 min and into bed by 2:30. It was a long drive and we were so ready to hit the sack. Friday morning we woke up, ate some oatmeal, banana bread and chocolate milk and then headed out around 10. We drove the spectacular Going to The Sun Road a 55 mile highway which is one of the best in the country. The views were incredible but personally I just loved dr...

And just a quick post about things happening with Kneaders. We are having an Aloha Summer complete with Hawaiian decorations, clothing (check out that shirt!), leis, and menu! The menu is seriously delicious! I love the sandwich ! Its ham with Munster cheese grilled pineapple, mango chutney and all hot on a ciabatta roll. Sooo yummy! Plus our lava flow smoothie which is like a pineapple dole whip in smoothie form, chocolate cream coconut tarts (Haupia tarts!) pineapple hand pies and a pasta salad (which sadly I didn't like the pasta salad as much.. dang onions) Baskets have been selling fairly well for summer and I'm still rocking the Saturday morning drive through. If you're going to the Provo 4th of July parade spectacular (people seriously camp out for days) and/ or the balloon festival, Look for me on the side of the road by Kneaders! I'll be selling French Toast for $6 until 7AM and then from 7-11 I'll be selling cinnamon rolls and OJ for $2.00! :)

Also in recent events we've been having fun just hanging out in Utah! I'm so glad to have Jordan and Amol back because we have super fun double dates! Last Saturday we went to the Lehi Rodeo Roundup! It was a very pleasant evening! Plus I love Rodeos! Braden hadn't been to one before and I don't think he enjoyed it quite as much...  (he said all of the activities seemed the same haha) But we still had fun!  We also have paid a visit to Seven Peaks and Strawberry Days with Jordan and Amol. The fair was so jam packed no one rode any rides, but we did get a delicious funnel cake (Amol's first funnel cake!!) and we hung around waiting for the fireworks!  We even spent some time at the Purple Turtle which is right by the fair and we got free water and cherries while killing time. All in all it was definitely a fun date! Plus we've also gone to see How to Train Your Dragon 2! Thanks for hanging out with us Jordan and Amol! And one day after work when I di...
