I also had the great pleasure of seeing my friend Alyne (whose been abroad in Europe the past two months! EEK!) and her adorable 4 month old fox! I brought the boys to socialize her a bit with them and we thought Ollie might actually be a bit much for her to start with so Monty got play time all to himself!  In the end it turned out she was a bit much for him! lol She kept trying to climb on top of him or jump on his.. and I don't think he's ever been played with like that before but he was amazingly patient! He just sat very submissively while she jumped on him and when he escaped his corner he'd jump on our laps or just run away! Such a sweet boy!  He enjoyed being safe for a moment at least...  And we held her for a moment to let him just sniff around and explore her environment. At least he had some fun doing that too. lol  And back to the safety of the yard outside the kennel.  And back to just relaxing. She really is an adorable kid ...

Sorry I've been neglecting my post for a bit here. The 4th of July was a great one this year! I worked Friday night going into it at the Flash and then actually left early to head over to Kneaders to do my annual Cinnamon Roll stand while the Balloon Festival and Parade go on.  Sorry I can't figure out for the life of me how to rotate pictures anymore.. I think I've saved them correctly.. but turns out I haven't. Anyways bummer news: the balloons didn't take off but at least I got to see the tops of them! So close! And I made a bunch of money on cinnamon rolls and oj! Thanks kneaders for letting me do this! I always have a fantastic time :D  I hosted Braden's family for dinner so they could see the new house! We had hamburgers, watermelon, and chips! Easy and delicious! Monty wore his festive American Peace sign shirt.. unfortunately you can't see it too well though.  Then we headed over to my favorite coworker Stacey's house for their littl...

And Day 3 of my hiking trips, I took the boys up to SLC to try out Neff's Canyon with my favorite dog group! Again we had tons of people show up and lots of doggies! Neff's canyon is really gorgeous and not too difficult of hike. Never all that steep in the beginning and you can hike up to this really lovely little spring for the dogs to drink and swim in! I got to rock out my fanny pack again and even hooked Monty on for parts of the hike. Works great! Up at the Spring! Lots of doggies! The group! And its a pano... so some weird things did happen with the dogs. lol Ollie's about half cut out there. We prob only hiked 2 miles but still lots of fun! There was the spring and some rope swings that were fun. All in all a great little hike for Salt Lakers to get away and do... but a bit of a drive for a very laid back hike for utah valley residents...

I also finally tried out the Living Room hike up in SLC that I've heard so much about! While it is dog friendly, I chose to let my dogs rest from this one. I went with some more friends I've made on Meet up and it was a grand ol' time! We even tried to master the art of taking a selfie... :) The hike really isn't too bad. I'd prob equate it to a slightly easier version of Y mount in Provo as it doesn't feel quite as long and most of it isn't as steep. Though be warned, in the middle of the day it's practically all uncovered and VERY hot. Also be warned.. the first time you do this hike.. you prob want to go with someone who has done it before. There are dozens of unmarked trails leading all over the place and some very steeply up the mountain face.. which you don't want to do. Trust me, go with someone who knows the easier more shaded path. I love all the "living room" furniture up there! A couple great couches and chai...

This has also been a week of hiking so far! Sunday Braden and I took the boys with some friends up Horse Tail Falls in Alpine again. I'd been wanting to do it since we hiked it with the group a few months ago... Well it was a lot more hot and a lot less shady than I remember it being but still fun! The dogs had a blast exploring and we chilled at the falls for a while to cool off. (I even dipped my head and man did that feel good!) Unfortunately I tried out new hiking boots and had crazy blisters on my heels from them.. That made the 4 mile hike a bit more tough on me but still did it! About 4 miles round trip and I'd estimate around 1200 elevation gain. It really is a peaceful hike great for the dogs and stunning at the end! I managed to capture this sweet photo of my friends. Waterfalls can be pretty romantic! Monty was a bit... shaggy. Don't worry he got his hair cut the very next day! Which I'm sure he appreciates feeling much cooler now! ...
