Trails 2 Travel

 So this year for Halloween we decided to have  a smaller gathering / like party just for fun. Ty and I had so many snack ideas though! We got home from school and work at like 5:30 and immediately set about getting ready. We cleaned, put our costumes together, finished decorating, and started working on these snacks! They were all so yummy! First we had witches hats: hershey kiss, green icing, and keeblers fudge cookies. Second: we had wrotten teeth smiles. Two apple slices with peanut butter and chocolate dipped mini marshmellows. Third: mummy dogs: or just mini hotdogs wrapped in pre made pilsbury croisants. Fourth: not pictured but equally delicious: monster fingers or pretzel rods dipped in white chocolate dyed green. We also had planned to do dirt cups with chocolate pudding and oreos but we never got around to making them. This month I had a couple interviews for internships! This was my first one and I was way excited! I also decided this is my interview outfit since I only have one pair of nice pants (they're white) and this shirt goes with them nicely... thus interview outfit. This particular interview went well, even though by the end of it I know longer really wanted it. I found out that I most likely wouldn't get paid and barely if I did at all. If that was the case I'd rather just be at Y be fit then I wouldn't have to worry about a car. However another internship turned out nicely. I landed an internship through Anytime Fitness by way of my persistent nagging for information through the owner whose in my Personal fitness training strategies class. He said he admired my persistence and would just guarantee me the internship! Hurrah! Now to just fill out that packet so it's definite.

 For a date night one week, we decided to take the ski lift at sundance for a ride before it got too cold... Well the day we went it happened to be freezing anyway. Oh well. We got there like 45 min. before our friends so we walked around and took some pictures. None of them turned out all that great so here are just a few.  We got off at one of the stops and had a look around. We ended up hiking up to the top of a giant hill to look over it. The whole time I was guessing which mount was mount timp (being right the whole time) and I kept expecting to see Stewart Falls from the top of the hill. Low and behold we saw stewart falls! haha I was pretty impressed with my sense of direction. Anyways it wasn't the easiest climb in TOMS but what can I say.. I'm a trooper some times.  Really some incredible views and we got nice and toasty walking around so the ride back down the mountain wasn't too cold. Really fun ride!  Also for stake conference I decided I'd much rather have a trip to the wilderness. So Ty and I took a trip up the Alpine Loop to try out the Stewart Fall trail which I've heard isn't too bad. We timed it so great as the leaves in the valley were changing for Fall. It was so beautiful!  The trail was pretty easy, mostly soft packed dirt and only a few steeper parts. My favorite part on the way there is where you walk through a grove of short trees with white trunks. Kind of felt like a fantasy world.  The Falls were so beautiful! Once we'd hiked down to the bottom we climbed up to the first tier of the waterfall which is where we are left. Ollie had a blast especially when he was off the leash!  We let him roam for a little while and even let him play with another dog that was there.  Ok so this isn't a new trip or anything. These are pictures that we finally got from our friends from our trip to Capitol Reef to do Sulfur Creek. Looking at these pictures makes me remember how awesome that hike way! This log is actually pretty high above the (not so deep) flow of water since there's a waterfall right there.We felt like Peter Pan in Neverland to be honest. Soo cool!  This is the first waterfall and we had a ton of fun playing at the base of it and crawling in those cracks of rock! It was slimy and cold but sure made for cool pictures.  People think the narrows are amazing...  but seriously sulfure creek is just as amazing. It gets almost as narrow yet you still get lots of sun and the rock formations around you are so cool to look at!  The second waterfall.  Ollie likes to climb up and cuddle on the couch. Cuddle bug!  He's not as cuddly with me, but everyonce in a while I get him to lay down.  We went to this park activity where they had a giant tv screen where we watched Kung Fu Panda 2, and had free popcorn and cotton candy, and almost got to go up in the hot air balloon. I stood in line for like an hour, but they never got it running... dang Here we are laying on our "blanket" (Ollie's car seat cover that I made) in the grass during the movie. Fun date night!
